Rudolf II moves the court to Prague. The Habsburg emperor makes Prague the imperial capital and fills it with astronomers, artists and alchemists. Tycho Brahe and Johannes Kepler both work here, and Kepler derives his laws of planetary motion from Brahe’s Prague observations.
