Heydrich is assassinated. Czechoslovak paratroopers attack Reinhard Heydrich in Prague; he dies of his wounds. The reprisals destroy Lidice and Ležáky entirely and kill thousands. The paratroopers die in a siege at the church on Resslova, where the bullet marks are still in the wall.
